Makapo Aquatics

Makapo Aquatics is an adaptive outrigger paddling program based in Orange County, California that focuses on:

  • adaptive paddling for blind and visually impaired athletes
  • inclusive “Ohana” paddling experiences for families and friends
  • recreational and competitive para-outrigger teams
  • adaptive water sports like kayaking, paddleboarding, and canoe programs

Programs are mainly run out of the Newport Aquatic Center in Newport Beach, CA, where they provide structured on-water instruction and community paddling sessions.
