Para Sport Club

This is where kids with physical disabilities come to have fun, play games, learn about sports, and become athletes! This program will be overseen by Certified Therapist Recreation Specialists (CTRS’s). Each session will be facilitated by a variety of volunteer professionals, including CTRS’s, Adaptive Physical Educators, Occupational Therapists, and adult athletes (both disabled and non-disabled).

The Para Sport Club takes its name from the Paralympic movement. In Greek, Para means “beside, along side of” as in the word “parallel.” This Sport Club is modeled after other sport clubs, but is focused on movement-based play, games, and sports for kids with physical disabilities.
